Welcome to Happy Nomads Yurt Camp & Hostel, a unique place to stay in traditional yurts with modern comforts. Our camp & hostel is run by a Kyrgyz, Russian, English, German-speaking family who loves guests and will let you feel Kyrgyz hospitality. We offer bed and breakfast and traditional Kyrgyz family dinner prepared over a fire.
Yurt Camp: Our yurt camp is the perfect place to experience traditional Kyrgyz culture. We have 3 Kyrgyz yurts and can host up to 5 guests in each yurt, for a total of 15 guests in the camp. The yurts function only in summer (April 1 - September 30). Each yurt comes equipped with electricity, comfortable beds, blankets, sheets with towels, and shared showers and toilets that are always clean with hot water.
Location: We are located in a picturesque, quiet, and cozy place in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan just 2 km from downtown, with a great view of the mountains. You can reach downtown on foot in 15-20 minutes. Nearby attractions include hiking trails, Jeti Oguz, and Altyn Arashan.
Our family is here to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We can help you organize your trip by calling taxi drivers or serving as a guide in Karakol, Jeti Oguz, and Altyn Arashan. The camp was opened in March 2014, and we are proud to welcome guests from all over the world. We look forward to welcoming you to Happy Nomads Yurt Camp & Hostel!

Review from our guest Dana
Loved our stay! Awesome place to stay in an authentic yurt! Tynch and his family were incredibly welcoming and very helpful from calling taxis for us to giving us trip ideas. Tynch and his mother have excellent English and we had many interesting conversations. His father speaks fluent German too. Their home cooked meals were a real treat and gave us a good taste of Kyrgyz life. To top things off the flower garden surrounding the yurts was absolutely beautiful.
If you go to Karakol and are looking for traditional and comfortable accommodation then this place is a must! If you are looking for five stars western accommodation then it's probably best to look elsewhere but it would be a real shame to not stay at Happy Nomads Yurt Camp.
The hospitality was above and beyond what we expected.
